The Sweet Life Bakeshop

We loved our lite afternoon coffee and bakery visit at Sweet Life! I can't believe we just discovered this shop. Our coffees were excellent, and they offer the full offering from cappuccinos, lattes, and traditional drip coffee to teas, iced options, flavors, and extras (including homemade whipped cream!!).

The shop is nicely decorated with nice tunes, Michael Bublé jazz always sets the mood! The bakery items were the best part of the experience! They had a wide selection of gluten-free and other options for people with dietary restrictions. We enjoyed gluten-free tea cookies and a strawberry shortcake (with the INCREDIBLE homemade whipped cream :)

Great local spot! We watched a lot of regulars order their "regular" during our visit and all left happy with their drinks and engaged in friendly conversing with the owner Grace. We definitely will be back!

Was a convenient stop to pick up road snacks driving out of NY. Parking wasn't clear so I parked across the street for this quick stop, and thankfully didn't get ticketed.

Unfortunately my first time visiting. I set my hopes too high. The two cookies and biscotti were very HARD and dry. The lack of flavor esp. The CCC
The two cupcakes were awful, frosting was NOT buttercream, cake pretty dry. Never again!

Man, I have to limit how often I stop by this place because I could really lose my mind here if I went too often. The cupcakes, the specials, the everything, but mostly that damn banana pudding.

Ordered a cake for my dads retirement and they were very kind and professional and the cake design came exactly like I asked. It was also very delicious. Will definitely order cakes in the future.

This piece of heaven . Taste so amazing. they have great tea and code and this pastry is honestly a taste of bliss. I highly recommend u ditch the corporate donuts and coffee made without love. U can taste the care in every bite and sip.

This place is amazing. They have the best baked goods and coffee in Staten Island in my opinion. The variety of items they have is incredible as well & it's all made fresh in the back. Very efficient and friendly staff and the shop is always very clean. Definitely don't leave without getting a cheddar bay biscuit. They are to die for. Can't recommend sweet life enough!

- The banana walnut and pistachio muffins are delicious. Good amount of walnuts in the banana walnut muffin!
- Chai latte is also delicious
- Seating inside
- Bathroom in the back for customers

Walked in on a whim and a time crunch! Walked out not knowing what to expect!
I had a specialty cake made for my wife's 40th and was blown away. Not only with how it looked but how it tasted too. I really did throw caution to the wind here, and this place delivered (figuratively). The husband and wife team here really tried to get to know me and my wishes, which was a big help, in this situation. Definitely gonna come back here in the future! PS this pic DOES NOT do this cake justice
