Annadale terrace

we had our Thanksgiving dinner catered from Annandale Terrace , it was simply amazing.
Everything was hot, fresh and so delicious. Appetizers (stuffed mushrooms, eggplant rollatini) delicious. I'm ordering from them next year
When we picked it up everything was ready!

Food was fine, service was below average, management was abhorrent.
For a family dinner of 6 with 3 kids under 2. We were charged a mandatory service fee of 20%. When mentioned I was not comfortable it was assumed I was to pay 20% for a server who didn't know who ordered what, or the common sense to ask if kids food can serve first. From when we sat down til we got entrees was a full hour. The explanation was only offered during the management conversation but not during the wait.
When this was mentioned to management, instead of offering a solution, they argued mandatory tips are added for tables of 5 or more, who's heard of that ever?
Refused to make adjustments, and chose to argue with me the way service was absolutely normal.

This was not my first visit, previous visits were fine, but this was completely unacceptable and will not be returning.

On top of the mandatory 20% was the additional credit card fee charge, none of which were mentioned or displayed at the time of ordering, but only on the bill.

Just a really horrible time ! The decaf coffee was scalding hot someone microwaved it and tried to say it was fresh when it was almost gray looking
Then I ordered cream of turkey soup which was ice cold and loaded with these lumps of something I couldn't even identify
Now my wife and sister both ordered a short stack of pancakes My sisters broke in half like a cookie and my wife's order was hard like the top of a crème brûlée ! We told our server that we didn't want anything and we were leaving. She responded by saying wait I'll get my manager
lol are you kidding me right now ? I didn't if she sent Jesus himself over we were t eating this garbage nor did I care to discuss it !

This food was absolutely delicious! The grilled chicken on top of the salad was juicy and fully cooked and I loved the pita bread on the side. The vodka wrap is mine and my boyfriend's favorite dish at the terrace! It is filled with chicken cutlet, mozzarella, & vodka sauce! Its perfection! Highly recommend this restaurant. I unfortunately don't remember our waitress name but she was great. Extremely attentive and friendly.

Went on a weekday at 7:05am and the weren't really ready yet, after a minute or 2. A guy opened the door for us and said it will take a few more minutes but we could sit where we wanted to. He was our waiter as well. Ordered from the breakfast special menu. Had the eggs with sausage and home fries with white toast. Everything was good, the sausage was a tad too salty for me but was still edible. They give you a whole tea pot which is nice so you don't need to keep asking them to fill hot water. We sat there for quite a while just talking and staff were attentive filling up our coffee. It got busy as time went by. Food is okay, nothing to rave about. maybe will try there lunch next time. Overall nice spacious place with there own parking lot.

Wife and I came for dinner last night since we didn't want to cook. If you live in Staten Island on the south shore there is a chance you have been here. I don't remember having a bad meal here.
Love the chicken orzo soup. You get nice big chicken pieces and not like some places where you have to search for the chicken. The soup it's you can see is loaded and not just a lot of broth.
Opted to get breakfast for dinner. Steak fries are my preference and as you can see my bacon came out nice and crispy.
Staff is very good and attentive.

I will forewarn if you come here especially on a Friday or Saturday between say 6-8 you may have to wait a few minutes for a table. This is a pretty big diner and they every table may be taken so that's usually a sign of a good place.

They also have a party room upstairs with an elevator and parking lot with an overflow lot next door at the catering hall if there is no event.

Definitely recommend there wraps! Very well made and a nice size. Waiteress was vey nice and attentive. Place was beautifully set up for a Diner.

I had a delightful breakfast here at Annadale Terrace. I live in Queens and my good friend lives in New Jersey, so it made sense to meet someplace in between: Staten Island. Neither of us had ever been to this restaurant. We were in for a treat. I must mention that our wait server, Pam, was very friendly and accommodating from the moment we were seated to the time we left. Pam is an asset to this restaurant.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. The soothing beiges and browns coupled with several levels of seating, the plants placed throughout the dining areas, plus the choice of indoor or outdoor dining, made this an experience to remember. Plus, we were seated in my absolute favorite, a circular booth - I love those.

The pancakes were large and fluffy, the bacon crisp and my eggs were perfectly fried. My bottomless mug of coffee was so expertly brewed that I did not need to add creamer or sugar. There was no acidic after taste like I often get from places with poorly brewed coffee.

As two old friends, we were a bit chatty and stayed a very long time, embarrassingly long, but never did we feel rushed to leave.

We both thoroughly enjoyed Annadale Terrace. It is well worth the drive. We plan to meet here again very soon.

I was a regular at Annadale Terrace. No longer.

Food: On two separate visits, I received dishes that were overly salted. My dining companion had the same issue once, and she started to bring her own coffee because she couldn't drink the restaurant's. And look out for SURCHARGES (as described below).

Service: At my most recent visit, my dining companion asked if she could get a substitute for the French fries that came with her wrap. She definitely could, but was not told there would be a $5.95 SURCHARGE. When we questioned the charge at the end, we were told "it says so in the menu." Yeah, it does, but not on the page where her item was found. Because it was printed on the menu *somewhere,* the manager refused to remove the salad-substitution surcharge, which *ADDED 37% TO THE COST OF HER MENU SELECTION.* Were they sorry? Well, the waiter said so, but the manager was entirely unapologetic. Not sorry for the waiter's error in omitting reference to the surcharge. Because the customer did not read every line on every page of the menu to hunt down the advisory, we still had to pay the extra.

Ambiance: LOUD. Be prepared to shout to have conversations during regular meal times. [It's less noisy during in-between hours.]

Their website says they offer, among other things, "exceptional service, respect and commitment," and that they want "every patron to feel and be treated like family." That used to be my experience, but no longer. My latest visit will be my last.

Why did I give it more than one-star? Because more times than not, the food is good and the wait staff is pleasant & professional. Portions are good and prices are not unreasonable, though high for many items. BEWARE: The menus says that prices are subject to change WITHOUT NOTICE. Make sure to ask your waiter if the price shown is the actual price. The manager will surely not refund the additional costs because "it says so on the menu" and the wait staff is not required to give the customer any warning.

Came after work and I had to drive my friend home cause he was getting his new car later in the day. He offered to buy dinner so I was like, who doesn't like free food ‍. Soon as I got in, ambiance wise I was like, "is this a resort? Like so fancy lolll and nice looking compared to other diners I've been to on Staten. It was not packed since we came on a Monday as well. I ordered the salmon with yellow rice and broccoli and a side of salad. The salad was large and had vinaigrette placed on the side as I requested. Finished the whole thing. Next came the main entree, the salmon was huge! It was very flavorful and moist/ not dry at all. I loved it. The broccoli was good as well and the rice too. I took half home to take to lunch tomorrow and it was free (thanks Joe) the service was really well, the waiter was on point with the water.
I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others like my family and friends.
