A little over a year ago, I was driving home from upstate while listening to Joe Rogan's podcast featuring John Reeves. Reeves, the owner of thousands of acres of mining grounds in Fairbanks, acquired a report from the company he purchased from Richard Osborne of the University of Alaska. According to the report, 50,000 pounds of mammoth tusks and bison bones were discarded into the east river due to limited storage space. The following day, fully equipped, I embarked on the hunt.
