The Stone House at Clove Lakes

We haven't been here for a while, to be honest it's going on two years, but today we decided to come on down to one of our old favorites for lunch. They had an amazing pre fixed menu of three courses. Again, everything was on point! All the meat was flavorful. The vegetables were seasoned well, the sauces were delicious. The espresso martini was off the hook. The best staff, hands-down. I'm so glad we came back and we will definitely be back for some more.

Overpriced and the food was totally sub par. The location. Is lovely but that's it. Entrees are $ 25 to $ 50 and come with no sides. I asked for a basket of bread and the waiter said the only bread we could have was if we ordered the garlic bread croissants. What kind of establishment doesn't offer bread? The croissants were disgusting and tasted like burnt garlic. I ordered the eggplant steak which was a soggy mess and although I was still hungry since it was stingy and literally did not even come with a tiny salad or anything (and was $ 22) I didn't finish it because it was really pretty gross. This place would not last 5 minutes where I live. I work nearby and will never agree to go here again. Totally lousy culinary experience.

I officiated a wedding here a few months ago and loved the way the place looked so I decided to try it. I went in for a drink and sat at the bar. The bartender was very prompt and pour me an excellent drink. He was very chatty with me while taking care of others at the bar. The place was nicely decorated for the holidays. I will be back to try the food.

The ambiance is very warm and welcoming, with a beautiful view of the lake that's filled with dishes, tadpoles, and turtles. The service is also very attuned and quick, especially Antonio who delivered exemplary service and provided us with everything we asked for. The food was also quite delicious, albeit on the more expensive side, but the quality of the food is definitely on the higher end! Our favorite is definitely the crab and egg, which was delicious with its accompanying sauce and side, we just wish it was either a tad bit less expensive or comes with a larger portion for 28 dollars. Unfortunately our over easy egg was over cooked and they didn't have any poached egg option, which would definitely make the dish even more aesthetically pleasing and delicious!

We are looking forward to coming back with our friends and family next time to enjoy the beautiful view, the amazing service, and the unique variety of foods!

The food was good, service was good too. The place is beautiful, especially in fall . I hope the food & the service are still great . I am planning on taking my parents there next week , hope the weather gets better !

The first time my family and I came to Stone House was for Mother's Day 2023. We had the brunch buffet which was delicious and had many great and fresh options. There was an omelette station and many delicious tiny desserts to pick from. This time my family and I came for Easter 2024 and had the dinner buffet. Unfortunately our great experience the first time was not repeated today. Our reservation was at 6:30pm and when we got there we noticed we were one of four other parties sitting in the buffet area which we thought was weird but maybe Easter dinners are earlier for most people. Anyway, the dinner buffet had a good amount of options like salads, cheeses, penne vodka, chicken fingers and fries, mac n cheese, and some meats to choose from. I noticed that a few dishes didn't have serving spoons so we either had to use our hands or use a serving spoon from another dish which was odd. I didn't like that there weren't serving spoons for each dish (even the finger foods like grapes, chicken fingers, fries) because that means people may have taken them with their hands and this just isn't what I want to see when I'm at a buffet. Each dish should have a fork, spoon, or tongs. Next thing I noticed when I sat down was that some of the foods were cold. It looked like perhaps earlier times for the dinner were more popular and as the night went on the food just got cold from sitting there, not being touched. I also got some turkey from the carving station which again was cold and kind of hard. We were very disappointed as this meal was about 70$ per person and what we actually ate was probably worth 25$ maximum, not factoring in the sad condition of the food. My advice is to avoid the dinner buffet. The breakfast/brunch seems to be the good one and go early when it's busy and the food is fresh and hot.

Absolutely lovely place to go for brunch or lunch or dinner. Went today for the first time and sat outside to have brunch with some friends. Nice menu options to choose from lovely area to sit. Service is very good and food was very nice. Definitely like to try it again.

This place is top notch! Recently had my wedding here and the opportunities for beautiful pictures are endless. The staff are all incredible and very professional and kind. The food was excellent! Every single dish that came out was amazing! The quality of cheese and meats from the charcuterie board was very tasty. Then the fried calamari, clams casino, and lamb chops with a horseradish crema was just out of this world! The caesar salad and kale salad were excellent and such beautifully dressed! The smoked burrata was magnificient! Main course was a filet mignon perfectly cooked by the chef medium rare with a whipped mash potato with black garlic and it was just pure heaven! To end the night, the desserts were to die for! A cookie butter mousse, an espresso chocolate mousse, and a mixed berrry topped mini cheescake were all phenomenal! The drinks to go with the night were excellently prepared, as I went with an old fashioned throughout the night, and ended with an espresso martini which was perfection! I would reccomend this place highly to anyone looking to throw a party or just wanting to go eat a lunch or dinner! 5 stars!!!!!!!!

First time there. Food and service were good. Place is beautiful, tucked inside of clove lake park its a nice surprise! I had the ribeye special. It was good. We also ordered the skirt steak. With a chimichurrri sauce. The apps were good too. I would go back.

Food was really good, highly recommend getting the garlic bread and calamari! We also tried the steak which was fantastic and the cheesecake was an acquired taste, but overall very good. Not too much of a fan of the herb crusted redfish but I would definitely go back and try another item on the menu. Overall great environment and very clean setting. Would recommend as a cozy place to try on the Island.
